August is especially busy for removal firms, with families keen to get moved whilst the kids are off school and the days are still long and light. Moving in the summer tends to be much simpler for families, causing less stress and hassle. 

As well as swerving an August move, you may also want to avoid bank holidays if possible. Not only are they very busy for removal companies but the increase in traffic on the roads could result in delays to the removal process in some cases.
