We recommend getting the planning process underway two months before the big move. Ideally, you should book time off work as soon as your moving date is confirmed. Even if you\u2019re not due to be working on the day itself, chances are you\u2019ll have many removal-related tasks to attend to before and after the move. Not only will you need time to ensure everything is fully prepared for your move, but you\u2019ll also need a day or two to unpack and settle in after it.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first steps to take<\/span><\/h3>\n

The initial planning and preparation stages can include obtaining packaging materials for your move. These can include bubble wrap, cardboard boxes, tape, or anything else that you might need. Are there any items that you no longer need? This is a great time to declutter, so throw away, sell, or give away any goods that you don\u2019t want, use, or need anymore.
